Air-Fried Mortadella & Cheese Bites with Toasted Bread
This recipe adapts mortadella and cheese, typically served cold, into warm, crispy air-fried bites. The bread is also air-fried for a perfect accompaniment. The canned tomatoes and cream cheese are not air-fried but can be used as a delicious spread or dip.
Ingredients
- 🍖Mortadella with pistachios(150g)
- 🧀Cheese slices(4 slices)
- 🍞Bread(4 slices)
- 🧀Cream cheese(2 tablespoons)
- 🥫Canned tomatoes(1 can)
Instructions
- 1.Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- 2.Cut the mortadella slices in half. Cut the cheese slices into strips.
- 3.Place a cheese strip on each mortadella half and roll it up tightly.
- 4.Place the mortadella rolls in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- 5.Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the mortadella is slightly crispy and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6.While the mortadella is cooking, lightly toast the bread slices in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- 7.Serve the air-fried mortadella and cheese bites immediately with the toasted bread. You can spread cream cheese on the bread and use the canned tomatoes as a dip or side.
