Air Fryer Crispy Fries

This is an adapted air fryer method for fries, which are traditionally deep-fried. Get ready for some seriously crispy fries with way less oil!

Ingredients

  • 🥔Potatoes(2 large)
  • 🫒Olive oil(1 tbsp)
  • 🧂Salt(1/2 tsp)
  • 🌶️Black pepper(1/4 tsp)

Instructions

  1. 1.Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into even-sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. 2.Soak the cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps with crispiness!
  3. 3.Drain the fries thoroughly and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. This is a crucial step for crispy results.
  4. 4.In a bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  5. 5.Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. 6.Place the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. 7.Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
