Air-Fried Curd & Spice Chicken Breast

This is an adapted air fryer method for chicken marinated in curd and spices, which is traditionally pan-fried or baked. The air fryer gives it a wonderfully crispy exterior while keeping the inside juicy!

Ingredients

  • 🍗Chicken Breast(2)
  • 🍦Curd (yogurt)(1/2 cup)
  • 🌶️Mixed Spice Powders (e.g., turmeric, cumin, coriander, chili powder)(2 tsp)
  • 🧂Salt(1 tsp)
  • 🧄Garlic paste(1 tsp)
  • 🧅Ginger paste(1 tsp)

Instructions

  1. 1.Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes or flatten them to an even thickness for quicker cooking.
  2. 2.In a bowl, combine curd, spice powders, salt, garlic paste, and ginger paste. Mix well.
  3. 3.Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably 2-4 hours for best flavor.
  4. 4.Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. 5.Lightly grease the air fryer basket or spray with cooking oil.
  6. 6.Place the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. 7.Air fry for 15-18 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until cooked through and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. 8.Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.
