Air-Fried Curd & Spice Chicken Breast
This is an adapted air fryer method for chicken marinated in curd and spices, which is traditionally pan-fried or baked. The air fryer gives it a wonderfully crispy exterior while keeping the inside juicy!
Ingredients
- 🍗Chicken Breast(2)
- 🍦Curd (yogurt)(1/2 cup)
- 🌶️Mixed Spice Powders (e.g., turmeric, cumin, coriander, chili powder)(2 tsp)
- 🧂Salt(1 tsp)
- 🧄Garlic paste(1 tsp)
- 🧅Ginger paste(1 tsp)
Instructions
- 1.Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes or flatten them to an even thickness for quicker cooking.
- 2.In a bowl, combine curd, spice powders, salt, garlic paste, and ginger paste. Mix well.
- 3.Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably 2-4 hours for best flavor.
- 4.Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
- 5.Lightly grease the air fryer basket or spray with cooking oil.
- 6.Place the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
- 7.Air fry for 15-18 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until cooked through and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- 8.Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.
