Air Fried Tikkis
This is an adapted air fryer method for Tikkis, which are traditionally pan-fried or deep-fried. Enjoy a healthier version of this popular snack!
Ingredients
- 🥔Boiled Potatoes(4 medium)
- 🌶️Green Chillies(2-3, finely chopped)
- 🫚Ginger(1 inch, grated)
- 🌿Coriander Leaves(2 tbsp, chopped)
- 🧂Cumin Powder(1 tsp)
- 🌶️Chaat Masala(1 tsp)
- 🧂Salt(to taste)
- 🍞Breadcrumbs(1/4 cup)
- 🍾Oil(for brushing)
Instructions
- 1.In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes.
- 2.Add green chillies, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
- 3.Form small, flat patties (tikkis) from the mixture.
- 4.Coat each tikki lightly with breadcrumbs.
- 5.Lightly brush or spray the tikkis with oil.
- 6.Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- 7.Place the tikkis in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd.
- 8.Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- 9.Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
