Air Fried Tikkis

This is an adapted air fryer method for Tikkis, which are traditionally pan-fried or deep-fried. Enjoy a healthier version of this popular snack!

Ingredients

  • 🥔Boiled Potatoes(4 medium)
  • 🌶️Green Chillies(2-3, finely chopped)
  • 🫚Ginger(1 inch, grated)
  • 🌿Coriander Leaves(2 tbsp, chopped)
  • 🧂Cumin Powder(1 tsp)
  • 🌶️Chaat Masala(1 tsp)
  • 🧂Salt(to taste)
  • 🍞Breadcrumbs(1/4 cup)
  • 🍾Oil(for brushing)

Instructions

  1. 1.In a large bowl, mash the boiled potatoes.
  2. 2.Add green chillies, grated ginger, chopped coriander leaves, cumin powder, chaat masala, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
  3. 3.Form small, flat patties (tikkis) from the mixture.
  4. 4.Coat each tikki lightly with breadcrumbs.
  5. 5.Lightly brush or spray the tikkis with oil.
  6. 6.Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  7. 7.Place the tikkis in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd.
  8. 8.Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. 9.Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
