Air Fryer Korean Fried Chicken

Ingredients
- 🍗Chicken wings or drumettes(2 lbs)
- 🍶Soy sauce(2 tbsp)
- 🌶️Gochujang (Korean chili paste)(1 tbsp)
- 🍯Honey(1 tbsp)
- 🍚Rice vinegar(1 tbsp)
- 🧄Minced garlic(1 tsp)
- 🧅Minced ginger(1 tsp)
- nuttySesame oil(1 tsp)
- 🌽Cornstarch(2 tbsp)
- 🧂Salt and pepper(to taste)
Instructions
- 1.Pat the chicken dry with paper towels. This is crucial for crispiness!
- 2.In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, gochujang, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- 3.Add the chicken to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the fridge.
- 4.Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- 5.Remove chicken from marinade and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
- 6.Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
- 7.Air fry for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through. For extra crispiness, you can increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 5 minutes.
